Rolling Good Times
Last Saturday was spent rather meaningfully, helping out for T's church's thanksgiving baskets. Every year, they gathered to visit the homes of the poor (with the Sisters of another church) to help deliver foodstuffs to them. This year is the first year that I helped out. Apart from the iota of awkwardness felt by me when they (helpers and Sisters) prayed, it was overall a wonderful and eyeopening experience being able to extend my miniscule help to the needy. :)
After the helping out which ended only around 6.30pm, we rushed to Eugene's house for Kevin's 23rd birthday party. Our theme was 60s/70s hairstyle. Erm..not all were appropriately dressed for the occasion, but at least they put in a little effort!
On Sunday, me and T drove down to the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz which was a 1.5 hour's drive from SF. It's called the Mystery Spot because of the fact that the place defies gravity! Imagine a ball rolling up a slope, and a shorter person ending up being "taller" than the taller person on level ground. Perplexing, isn't it? Some theories to explain this phenomenon include excessive CO2 in the area which causes hallucination, or pieces of metal brought by flying saucers which causes a gigantic magnetic force. Till now, there's no real explanation for it. Oh well...let it be a mystery then!
Do you see it? ;D
